Louisiana Studies Conference postponed until Nov. 9

NATCHITOCHES – The Louisiana Studies Conference scheduled for Saturday Sept. 14 at Northwestern State University has been postponed until Saturday Nov. 9 due to weather conditions. 

According to Dr. Shane Rasmussen, director of NSU’s Louisiana Folklife Center and co-chair of the conference, Tropical Storm Francine, which is expected to develop into Hurricane Francine, will impact a number of conference attendees and presenters. 

A revised program will be sent to those taking part in the conference at a later date.
