Demon tailgate will precede Saturday’s SFA game

NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University Demon fans can join other alumni and friends for a pregame meal in advance of the football game versus Stephen F. Austin.  The gathering will start 3:30 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 5 at Barkeeps Eatery and Taps, 3308 North St., Nacogdoches, Texas.

Game tickets are also available for purchase and can be picked up either at Barkeeps or at the player pass gate. Tickets can be purchased at https://fundraise.givesmart.com/form/YVFIgQ?vid=17w0cs.   Information on Barkeeps is available at www.barkeepsnac.com.

Kickoff against the Lumberjacks is at 7 p.m. at Homer Bryce Stadium.

NATCHITOCHES – When the football teams from Northwestern State and Stephen F. Austin resume their rivalry as Southland Conference foes Saturday night, they'll play for the largest trophy in sports, a redesigned prize commemorating the special bond between the two universities.
