NSU showcases work by local ceramic artist Gretchen Murchison

August 19, 2025NATCHITOCHES – Northwestern State University’s Department of Fine and Graphic Arts is hosting a show featuring the work of ceramic artist Gretchen Murchison to honor her induction into NSU’s School of Creative and Performing Arts Hall of Fame.The show will run through Sept. 11 in NSU’s Orville Hanchey Gallery.  A reception to meet the artist will be from 6-8 p.m. Thursday, Aug. 28. 

Line dancing class to begin Sept. 9

NATCHITOCHES – A line dancing class will be offered by Northwestern State University’s Office of Electronic Learning and Global Education starting Tuesday, Sept. 9. The class will be taught on Tuesdays from 5:30 p.m. until 7 p.m. through Oct. 14 in Room 127 of the Health and Human Performance Building.
