Saloy visit postponed

NATCHITOCHES – A reading and discussion planned to feature Louisiana Poet Laureate Mona Lisa Saloy at Northwestern State University will not take place.  The event was scheduled for Wednesday, March 9 but due to illness will be rescheduled for a later date.

NATCHITOCHES – The presentation of CAPA on the Cane by the Dear School of Creative and Performing Arts at Northwestern State University scheduled for Saturday, March 12 has been cancelled due to expected weather conditions, according to Scott Burrell, director of the School of Creative and Performing Arts.

March 15 concert to honor work of composer Mauricio Kagel

NATCHITOCHES – Faculty and students from Northwestern State University will join guest artists from Louisiana Tech and the University of Louisiana at Monroe in a tribute to composer Mauricio Kagel on Tuesday, March 15 at 7:30 p.m. in Magale Recital Hall. Dr. John Dunn will present a pre-concert lecture at 7 p.m.Admission is free and open to the public. University COVID protocols will be in effect.
